We are looking for a talented IT Business Analyst to join us in delivering upcoming projects around data, operational resiliency, IT and Automation. We’re looking for someone who has extensive background as a business analyst within the insurance sector, ideally the London Market. A problem solver with a keen eye for detail, and the ability to speak to a range of stakeholders from various backgrounds and interests
Responsibilities
Gather business requirements (both functional and non-functional) to ensure that the full business and IT impact has been documented and evidenced in a thorough manner

Provide advice and guidance on functional interdependencies identified during requirements analysis

Analyse processes and data flows through effective engagement with the client
-
Analysis and validation of system and business requirements for implementation of new software and adaption of existing systems and processes
Solution Design

Reviewing IT estate and gather requirements
-
Map proposed solutions to the customer's requirements and recommending the best approach
Participation in Business Analysis workstreams for complex projects with core strategic objectives

Act as the conduit between IT, Operations, Data and Business Process teams ensuring requirements are understood and each stakeholder has appropriate involvement

Taking nebulous concepts and form them into tangible deliverables

Capture identified risks or issues

Identify and raise where changes to scope occur

Form effective working relations across different sets of stakeholders

Engaging across multiple business units and multiple customers
To assist the customer in the adoption of the resulting solution, to ensure that the customers gain maximum benefit from the implementation

Provide input into a test teams definition of testing activities

Promote adoption of the target processes and procedures
Desired skills and experience
-
Solid experience in the Insurance Sector, ideally in the London Market
-
Relevant specialism or expertise in Underwriting, Finance/Accounts, Claims, Actuarial Modelling

Experience of working in context of cloud technologies include Azure, AWS, GCP and private cloud
-
Experience of projects involving APIs, microservices and other integrations as part of a microservices strategy

Adaptable to Agile and Waterfall methodologies with ability to adapt to client methodologies as well
-
Experience of API, microservices and other integration technologies.

Experience in SQL, Sequel Eclipse, Guidewire, Duckcreek, Salesforce, Oracle, Power BI is desirable.
