ECMS has delivered numerous complex projects over the last few years, and we are looking for a talented change business analyst to join us in delivering upcoming projects related to data, operational resiliency, IT, and automation. We’re looking for someone with an extensive background as a business analyst within the insurance sector. A problem solver with a keen eye for detail and the ability to speak to various stakeholders from various backgrounds and interests.
Responsibilities

Perform an internal assurance role to review the requirements, design and other business analysis documentation.

Capture identified risks or issues

Identify change

To assist the customer in the adoption of the resulting solution, to ensure that the customers gain maximum benefit from the implementation

To be an influential member of the project team in determining the most suitable solution to a customer’s opportunity

To peer-review the work of other business analysts and other project team members upon request

Conduct process re-engineering through effective engagement with the business
-
Leading Business Analysis work stream for significant and strategic projects

Projects involving multiple business units and multiple customers globally

Shaping – ability to take nebulous concepts and form into tangible deliverables

Gather business requirements (both functional and non-functional) to ensure that the full business and IT impact has been thought through

To explore solution(s) to the customer's requirements and to recommend the best approach

Form effective working relations across different sets of stakeholders
-
Analyse processes and data flows through effective engagement with the business and IT
-
Promote adoption of the target processes and procedures
-
Provide advice and guidance on functional interdependencies identified during requirements analysis
Typical projects and activities

Business process mapping and reengineering
-
Analysis and validation of system and business requirements for implementation of new software and adaption of existing systems and processes

Act as the conduit between IT, Operations, Data and Business Process teams ensuring requirements are understood and each stakeholder has appropriate involvement

Design or refinement of business processes, creating TOMs and roadmaps
-
Reviewing business activities and identifying requirements

Implementation of new business processes

Provide input into a test teams definition of testing activities
Desired skills and experience
-
Experience in the insurance sector, ideally London Market domain experience
-
Comfortable working in context of cloud tech
-
A recognised practitioner in the analysis, definition and modelling of business processes, requirements, systems and data with stakeholder engagement in at least one methodology for example AGILE or Waterfall.

Experience in investigating operational needs and problems, and in defining acceptance tests.

Able to define scope and business priorities for small-scale changes.

Experience in eliciting requirements, selecting appropriate techniques for the elicitation of detailed requirements.

Comfortable in specifying business and systems requirements, and analysing them for adherence to business objectives and consistency.

Conversant with techniques covering full range of modelling situations. Experience reviewing resulting models with stakeholders and gaining resolution to resultant issues

Desirable: Certification in BA Practice or Requirements Engineering
