Lucy Turner

Director of Talent Delivery

Working across Eames Group’s suite of talent brands, I help ECMS associates find project-based engagements and Eames Consulting’s candidates find new contract or permanent roles via our South Africa team. My role also involves creating and nurturing ECMS’s SME community and advisory panel.

I enjoy fixing things and building things, and this role offers me the chance to do so in many different ways. Being physically able to see what we’ve delivered at the end of an engagement, whether it’s a new business system or a business change programme, is really fulfilling, as is understanding the positive impact we can have both on individuals and organisations.

In too many consulting engagements, there’s far more emphasis on the sales proposal than the delivery. There’s typically a lack of accountability to deliver and projects are driven by revenue, not by a desire to bring a successful outcome for the client. Leveraging Eames Group’s 20+ years of experience and capability, we have unique access to tried-and-tested associates who have delivered successful programmes before. It’s not just about fixing a problem, but about leaving the client with the knowledge and the structures to operate independently, long after our engagement.

Being an Opportunity Maker is about giving people access to exciting projects and programmes of work. From an associate perspective, we can help to position them in a meaningful way and link them to clients whom they wouldn’t otherwise have access to, which hopefully leads to success for both parties. It’s about curating a community of SMEs and advisors, and working together in a trusted partnership, time and time again.
